Laundryday in Antwerp - next wash 6 Sep 2008

It was Laundryday in Antwerp yesterday. Nice weather and a really nice atmosphere. The venue was much bigger than last year, having expanded into the Waagnatie and then even down the road from there. Pictures from the day are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rwp-roger/sets/72157601821432537/

It almost feels like a good deal!

1. Back in February I bought a 320GB Lacie "Big Disk". The one that I bought did not work so I took it back and exchanged it for another one.

2. Then at the end of June it died....though I did manage to get a copy of all my data off it just before it went south for good.

3. Took it back for repair and at end July it came back....but still did not work (I don't think they did anything to it!). So, back again for another month!

4. Then last week I got a letter telling me to come in and get a new disk drive.

...technology and competition has moved things on a bit....so I was able to get a 320GB disk (from Toshiba) **AND** a 160GB portable disk (from Lacie) **AND** I got €22.00 back! Almost feels like a good investment that I made back in February!

Bollekesfeest today in Antwerp...with competing Corona event!!

Bollekesfeest today in Antwerp, so needless to say there were more happy tourists (and locals) out and about than on a Friday night in Lan Kwai Fong! Not to be outdone, Corona had a competing(?) event on today too, with jetski as the main attraction!
